Our Initatives

Scholarships
The Mayerson JCC located in Cincinnati, OH is offering a limited number of swim lesson scholarships to families in need, ensuring that every child has access to educational opportunities and support that fosters their growth and development in a nurturing environment. https://mayersonjcc.org/joshua-al-lateef-jr-swim-lesson-scholarship/

Joshua Alert
When we learned that an Amber Alert could not be issued, we were devastated- but we were also determined. In a conversation between Amber Bradford, Jacquese Hogan, and Jonisa Cook, discussing the urgent need for a system that would better serve childrens like Joshua. What started as a grief quickly turned into action. Amber suggested that if an alert could not be issued under the current system, then change was necessary. That conversation led to the creation of a petition, which Jacquese began drafting - marking the first official step towards what would become the push the Joshua Alert.

Community Support
Through workshops and support groups, we offer community resources that help families connect, share experiences, and access vital information related to autism and neurodiversity. Please request your Big Red Safety Box at
